… lead pencil markings endure longer than memory

Sharing a pair of off the page projects today, a file holder and journal cover made using Eileen Hull dies.

I wanted to play with my new Eileen Hull dies and thought the spring colours of the papers from the kit would make a nice set.  As the journal is meant to sit inside the file holder, which is pretty much a topless box I am entering these in the current Simon Says Stamp! Monday challenge.

To decorate my journal cover and file holder I made some flowers using Kaisercraft foam.  Handmade flowers are also the current theme at Crafter’s Café so I am entering my set over there.  Meanwhile the Sisterhood of Crafters are looking for spring flowers where I’m also linking up this set.

These are my last projects guesting over at Aunty Vera’s and I’ve had loads of fun playing with the Hippity Hoppity March kit.  I particularly had fun with these projects, working in 3D and making my own embellies.

If they but taste of Chocolate

Sharing a fun set of shaker cards today featuring two images from the Neat & Tangled Eggstra Special set.

These cards are my last gift cards I made using the March Hippity Hoppity kit from Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft, where I am proud to be guesting this month.  I’ve used two different diagonal patterned papers from the kit on these first two with stamps from the included Eggstra Special set.  I’m entering these in the Easter challenge at Creative Friday.

I printed the sentiments on the computer and mounted on a pair of tags that came in the Echo Park Hello Easter Ephemera Icons pack in the kit.  The shaker mixes are my own, I love making shaker mixes and found some cute elements at the discount store.  I backed the shaker with some different papers from the kit.

The second pair of gift cards also feature papers from the kit, this time I decorated just with rabbits; the Cottage Cutz die and also Owlet Eyelet brads both from the kit.  I did another printed sentiment for one.  On the last I used a sentiment from the ephemera kit.  The shaker frames were all cut from the Scalloped Square Frames die set from Paper Rose.  I’m entering these in the current challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks, where their theme is brads, which you don’t see near enough anymore.

At Animal Friends they are having an Easter challenge too so I am entering my cards over there as I have lots of bunnies and a little chickee.

I wonder how much it would take to buy a soap bubble…

Sharing a card featuring the fun Brigitte from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps.

I’ve made this card for a friend’s birthday, creating my sentiment from one of those included with Brigitte and another from the Crazy Talk set by Tim Holtz.  I’ve added in some bubbles around my sentiment using the Water Effects 1 from Designs by Ryn.

My card layout is from CAS(E) this Sketch, I just changed the base from a rectangle to a square.  I also turned the round element into a shaker so I could play along at CAS on Friday for their current challenge calling for sequins and a celebration.  I selected a piece of DP that was somewhat bubble like and luckily had the perfect shaker mix in my collection from Little Things from Lucy’s Cards.

I’m also playing bingo with Aud Sentiments.  I have a sentiment and have gone with the centre column; my sentiment is embossed, I have a stamp and my die features faux stitching.  Love how this turned out, even though I’m not personally much for soaking in a tub, but it’s perfect for my friend for her birthday.
