…autumn rounds out to be reflection

Sharing a thinking of you card featuring the aptly named Creepy Cute Big Eye Zombie Girlwith Umbrella from Oddball Art.

Now I cropped the image down and then taken her umbrella and printed it separately before fussy cutting it and popping it up on some foam dots.  I did this to fit the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.  I’ve swapped the smaller square element for the umbrella and the heart is covered by the rabbit head on the umbrella.

Over at Die Cuttin’ Diva’s they’re looking for just because projects.  I went with the ‘Missing You’ sentiment from Stampin’ Up! as I was thinking about a friend who lives Stateside.  Going to pop this card in the mail to let her know I’m thinking of her even though it’s not any particular date or time of year, just because friends are always in our thoughts and always worth creating for.

As I’ve got Autumn colours going on, I’m also linking up my card at Always Fun.

Autumn is also one of the themes over at C.R.A.F.T. challenge where I have the honour of guesting this week.

…you ought to seriously re-examine your life

Sharing a card featuring one of the curvy girls from Stamping Bella, this one is called Gardener.

Over at Allsorts they have a twist to their challenge to be inspired by the challenge prize, being a stamp set from Rare Earth.  The stamp set features lovely garden elements, which made me think about all the floral stamp sets I own.  They would have been good for the friend whose birthday this is for but then I also saw the prompt at Addicted to CAS.  This stamp is so the style of my friend, who loves to potter around in the garden but manages to look effortless glamourous doing it, even if she is in denim overalls!

For the layout of my card I’ve used the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  My stamped image takes the place of the rectangular element and rather than circle elements I used an inlaid die cut flower for one and a cluster of butterfly sequins and Bitty Gems for the other two.

The universe has brought us the Dragon Warrior!

Sharing my nephew’s birthday card featuring one of the cute pandas from the Panda Butt set by Whimsy Stamps.

The layout for my card follows the sketch over at AAA Cards and I’ve even got the optional twist of animals covered with my panda.  I meant to flip the sketch 90° to right and only realised I went left instead when I was adhering the panel to my card base.  Luckily it works either way.  The bamboo to fill in the rest of the rectangle element comes from the same Panda Butt stamp set as the panda and sentiment I used.

I was wondering what to put on my nephew’s card when I remembered this stamp set.  Given 10-year-old boys love butt jokes it was the perfect time to get these stamps inky and have a bit of clean fun.  I’ve made my own sentiment on the inside to complete the joke, with the image from the Whimsy Stamps’ Penguin Poop set.

And, as I have gone humorous on this card, I’m linking it up at ARTastic.  As it’s also very definitely for a child I’m also linking it at Try it on Tuesday.

This card is also my DT project for this month’s challenge at Bizzy Bec’s.  With an anything goes theme it’s too easy to enter and you have the opportunity to win five digis from Bizzy Bec’s.
