The layout of my
card comes from the sketch at Retro Rubber.
I just flipped the placement of the small element in the corner of the large square to fit my sentiment. My image stamp and the sentiment both come off rubber sets that are
more than 12 months old, the Hipster set is from 2017, the Crazy Talk set
earlier I think, so I’ve got the retro rubber requirement too.
I went with the
funky striped designer paper so I could play along at Papercraft; I think it suits
my hipster vibe perfectly too. I’m also
playing at Creative Friday using their bingo board, I’ve got the middle column
covered with my text (sentiment), stamp (image and sentiment), and animal (goat).
This was one of a
number of cards I gave out over the weekend, having finally caught up with the extended
family and their birthdays. The recipient
thought it was pretty cool even if he was convinced the image was a kangaroo,
even after his wife patiently pointed out all the ways in which it definitely
didn’t look like a kangaroo!
