Sharing a quick
thank you card I made featuring a stamp from the So Happy For You set by Concord & 9th and ‘thank you’ from the Whatnot Sentiments Six set by Your Next Stamp.
For my colours I used
the current palette at CAS Colours & Sketches. I actually used Stampin’ Up! cardstock and
inks in the specified colours. My Gray
Granite stamping looks a bit off but think it’s the pink background that’s
thrown off the colour compared to the piece of Gray Granite cardstock I matted
my flower stamping on.
The layout of my
card is from the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch. After I cut all my cardstock and layered them
up, I realised my background of Powder Pink looked a bit bare with just the one
‘thank you’ stamped in grey on it. So I decided
to repeat stamp the sentiment in VersaMark ink and heat emboss with clear embossing
powder to create my own background.
I’d already clear
embossed over my flowers and focal sentiment to give me one of my three
elements from the tic tac toe board at Joy of Sets Tic Tac Toe. My other two to complete the row are the
colour pink and the pearls I added to the flower centres.
This particular card
is going out to a colleague but I’ve cut a bunch of layers to make a few for my
stash. I always think a thank you card
is one of the easiest ways to bring a smile to someone and a handmade one is even
more sure to make them feel appreciated.
