I’m sharing a
card I made for a co-worker who is off to Paris using an image from SLS Lines
called Hipster.
As soon as I saw
this image it made me think of the recipient, it is a great likeness so it had
to go on this card. I coloured the image
up in French colours and have used the same colours throughout my card. The layout of my card follows the sketch over
at Just Add Ink, with interest added through the use of layered matting.
I wasn’t sure
about a background to the image as I wanted to keep this CAS, which happens to be
the theme at Stampin’ Royalty, so I’m linking up my card there. Luckily I found inspiration for the
background from The Male Room and their theme of ????-scapes. Using a clipart from CuttablesSVG I did the
Paris skyline in French colours using foil (which sadly just looks all black in the photo) and teamed this with some fleur de
lis in foil for one of the rectangular elements. My sentiment is also foiled and I hope
correct, fingers crossed the online translator hasn’t led me astray and it does
actually say “Goodbye, enjoy Paris”.
