I have a sweet
card made with an equally sweet image, Persephone Lola, from Simply B Stamps’
Teen Scene Gods in Love collection.
This card is going to my cousin’s daughter for her 5th birthday, hence all the pink girlie details. I followed the current sketch at Outlawz to make the card but I did swap out the heart elements for the butterfly and a simple rectangle. I don’t know why I thought fussy cutting Persephone Lola was going to be a good idea but I did and therefore didn’t leave enough white space around her to frame her with my die cut rectangle.
Savvy Handmade Cards have a challenge to use your favourite item, I love my flowers,
particularly the mulberry ones, and I also love my Fran-tage and both work
really well for a girlie card. And with
my flowers I’m also entering this at Stampin’ for the Weekend’s current
challenge.
I always think
polka dots on a soft background is the perfect designer paper for a girlie card
and the grosgrain ribbon with dots ties the foreground with the background of
my card. Spots and dots are also the
current theme at Creative Knockouts so I’m entering my card in their challenge.
I’ve also got numerous butterflies (what little girl doesn’t like chasing
butterflies?) so am also linking this at Digi Galore for their wings’ challenge.
