I’m sharing a
card today featuring a pretty image from Aurora Wings called Sakura Fubuki Urei.
This image seemed
very fitting for a card to farewell a staff member who is retiring, the idea
that in retirement one has the time to enjoy the breeze and actually stop and
smells the flowers! At least that is
what I hope for my staff member and this new phase of her life.
To make up the
card I’ve followed the current sketch at Sketchy Colors, I flipped the sketch
to give me a vertical rectangle for my image, which I framed using a Nestie. I love my layers and this sketch really let
me show off some lovely papers and feature some of my new lace too. With all the layers I am also entering it at
the Creative Knockouts’ current challenge.
This will also be
my first entry in a Facebook fan challenge for Aurora Wings. This month’s theme is shades of blue and the
colour fitted my theme as blues are tranquil colours. It also fitted in with the image symbolising
the sky.
