… there is no such thing as separation

Sharing another farewell card I made featuring a die cut from Joanna Sheen’s Signature Dies’ range called Starburst.

The layout of my card follows the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, where I am just under the wire to enter.  I swapped out the three stacked stars for my die cut and filled in the negative space of the die with some chippies from Make it Crafty.

The colour scheme is taken from the current colour combo challenge at TGIF.  I’ve used the Stampin’ Up! colours they referenced in the cardstock and I coloured my chippies with Soft Sky ink.  To make the chippie stars and starburst really shine I topped them with clear embossing powder.  My sentiment was printed onto vellum to allow me to emboss it also, it is printed in brown to mirror the Early Espresso but it wasn’t as dark as it should have been so it doesn’t show up as really brown against the Soft Sky mat.

Over at Cardz 4 Guyz they are asking for something beginning with the letter ‘D’ on your project.  I have a die cut so I am entering my card in their challenge.
