Sharing a card
that features the lovely Romantic Bouquet die from Elizabeth Craft Designs.
I made this card
using the stained-glass effect Jennifer McGuire featured a little while ago on
her blog. If you’re ever looking for
inspiration or just want to see some pretty amazing cards you really need to go
check out her blog, she posts loads of useful tutorials and has other resources
all generously provided for free.
Over at The Crafter’s Café they want you to make your own background and use dies and/or
punches. I’ve made two backgrounds here,
one was the colour for the stained-glass, well I guess that’s a
background. I used an embossing mat to
give myself an outline of the die shapes to work with and then coloured them
with alcohol inks. I also used alcohol
ink to get the mat I placed the die cut panel onto a similar colour to my
embossed top layer, creating my second background. I’ve also used a die as my main feature on
the card.
The die is so
lovely and using the stained-glass technique in the soft pinks gives a really
feminine feel to my card. As I’ve also
got a sentiment, thanks to the fab chippie from Make it Crafty, I’m entering my card at Aud Sentiments.
Flowers are the
current theme at Dies R Us and, as mine are die cut ones, I am linking my card up
in their current challenge.
