Sharing a card made with another beautiful peony stamp, this one from Studio Katia called BloomingBunch.
My card layout follows the sketch at Sunday Stamps. I’ve used my flowers as the circular element and stencilled in the rectangular strip. I did this so I could also play along at CAS Stencil using two different stencils as their challenge is for layered stencilling. I inked in the first layer with Distress Inks and then added in my butterflies with metallic water colours.
I stamped my sentiment, from a retired Stampin’ Up! set, in the same Spun Sugar Distress Ink I used on the flowers then doused it in clear embossing powder to give it a little texture. Finished off with some layered matting in colours to match the stamped and stencilled elements. Loving all the soft colours on this one and those peonies, I think I’m a little obsessed with them given how many different peony stamps I own!
Over at Stamping Sensations they have a flower challenge going on so I am also linking up my card over there. Hoping these pretty flowers bring a little comfort to the recipient who lost her partner very suddenly last week from a stroke.
