Sharing a card made with the adorable Butterfly Wings image from All Dressed Up.

This card is heading out to one of my staff member’s daughter who missed out a birthday party due to the social distancing rules.  Given she’s feeling low having to spend her birthday home and without her friends I didn’t go snarky on it but it is for a kid so I’m hoping Edna won’t mind it’s all cuteness as I link it up at the Sisterhood of Snarky Stampers.

For the layout I followed the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.  I created the three triangles with some gold embossed lines so I could also play along at TGIF for their gold dipped challenge.  I made the three triangles different by blending some Broken China Distress Ink behind the cute fairy and scattering some tiny gems on the far right triangle.

Keeping with the gold dipped theme I also did the same technique on my chippie.  I kept it simple with the single word sentiment, one of my last ever shipment of the bestest chippies in the world from the now closed Make it Crafty.

…a trail of glitter is never forgotten

Sharing a CAS card featuring the lovely Party Season Girl 3 from All Dressed Up and a fabby sentiment stamp from Close To My Heart called Leave a Little Sparkle.

The girl from All Dressed Up comes in a set with two other girls, all ready for a night out.  This one looks like the friend this is going out to so I had to use her.  This card was a real quick one, CASer and quicker than I intended but I only sat down to make it at midnight thanks to my coffee machine exploding all over my kitchen earlier today.  Thank goodness for challenges to help you take all the stress out of planning out the card!

The layout for my card follows Cécile’s sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  For the horizontal background elements I decided to go for a radiating pattern using a Tim Holtz stencil.  It left the perfect space for my sentiment stamp too ~ crafty serendipity you’ve gotta love in the wee hours of the morning!

The challenge over at International Art & Soul is to add some sparkle.  That made me pull out my fav shimmery gold pen from Nuvo to trace through the stencil to match my sentiment.  The sentiment stamp is new and was gifted to me by the consultant I made a purchase through, Barbara Hopkins, who was every so sweet in fixing up my order and also sending me this lovely stamp as a gift.  It also happened to be lying on my craft desk and was clearly meant to go on this card.

As I’ve used a lovely All Dressed Up image I’m also linking my card up in their current challenge.  The theme is always anything goes with one of their images so nice and easy to enter.

…the forget-me-nots of the angels

Sharing a card featuring the super cute A Star is Born image from All Dressed Up.

A friend welcomed his first baby on Friday morning and this is the card I’ve made for little Audrey.  The layout follows the current sketch over at Fusion where I’ve sort of followed both sides, it is a baby card but I didn’t take any of the elements from the photo.  I split the sentiment from the image and printed it on some white cardstock before foiling it in rose gold.  I also foiled the bear image, it’s hard to tell in the photo but it looks lovely in real life.

Over at the Alphabet Challenge they are at B and designated it to be for bears, which is why I went for a cute bear for my card.  I water coloured mine before popping him over a shaker window.

For even more shine I did the rectangular element as a block of wet embossing but for a bit of extra interest I first scored some parallel lines.  I mixed two colours of embossing powder too, again for a bit more interest.  With my shiny foil, sequins and embossing I am entering my card in the current challenge at Little Red Wagon.
