There is no such thing as gratitude unexpressed

Sharing another thank you card, this one features one of the images from the Papertrey Ink set Orchid Expressions.

This is a fab layering stamp set that lets you build as much of the complete image, a lovely orchid spray in a pot with a bamboo stake, as you want.  For this I used just the orchid spray itself and did the orchid in shades of yellow as I used the colour palette over at Sunday Stamps.

You need to use a minimum of three colours from the palette so on top of the yellow and orange on my flowers I’ve also used some of the greens on my stencilled background.  I then used yellow and green again in my mats.

The layout of my card is from the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, where I’ve just made it under the wire to enter.  I had to make the main element a bit smaller because I wanted to use up a scrap of stamping paper rather than cut into a whole new sheet.

Given my bright colours and flower image along with the cute bee charm I think this is a very spring inspired card so I am also linking it up at Sparkles Monthly for their current spring themed challenge.

…who has done a lot for you

Another CAS thank you card, this one featuring an old stamp from Heartfelt Creations from their Blazing Poppy Petals set.

My layout this time comes from the Fusion sketch and I am also playing the inspiration image as I’ve used a poppy.  It seemed fitting as ANZAC Day is all about remembering and being thankful for the sacrifices of other and this is a thank you card for someone who truly has gone above and beyond for a stranger.

I added in the stripe element with some paint splatters so I could also play along at Inkspirational.  I chose a lovely blue to give me the showers element for the Allsorts theme so I’m rocking both the flowers and showers.

…a ray of beauty outvalues all the utilities of the world

Sharing a CAS card featuring the lovely Majestic Peony stamp from Gina K Designs.

This card is going out to a friend whose favourite colour is yellow, which made for a beautiful and bright card.  Featuring this gorgeous flower and in the bright colours my card fits the Spring fling theme over at the Gina K Monthly Mix challenge so I am linking it up there.

For the layout of my card I’ve used the current sketch at Atlantic Hearts.  My flower is the main element and I’ve added in my sentiment embossed on a piece of black cardstock.  I think the black makes a good contrast against the bright yellow of the card.

For the three small circle elements I’ve gone with some pearls to play along at As You Like It.  In a choice between buttons or pearls I am definitely a pearl girl.  I do have some buttons in my stash, I tend to like the cute shaped ones more than regular old buttons you’d find on clothes but they tend to sit in my stash not doing much.  I’ve got way more pearls in my stash, the stick-on kind as well as pearl trims.  I do love them for a touch of elegance to a card and you can keep it quite CAS like this card and just add a few or go all out on a fussy and fancy card.  So, it’s definitely pearls for me.
