The Eden I never saw...

Sharing a CAS card featuring some of the stamps from the Sea & Sky set by Hero Arts.

I’m playing along at AAA Cards where their prompt of along the edge inspired my card design.  I’m also rocking their optional twist of the beach, albeit a very long thin one.

With my beachy theme and sentiment, I’m linking up my card at Just Us Girls for their travel themed word week.  I’m sure plenty of us are dreaming of being able to hop a plane and go on a trip to a tropical beach and put all of 2020 and the current situation well and truly behind us.

Given this is an uber CAS card I’m also entering it over at Make My Monday for their current clean and simple challenge.

…the balm and life-blood of the soul…

Sharing a card made with the very pretty Friendship Blooms a stamp collaboration from Gina K Designs & Hero Arts.

I chose the colours for my card based on the optional colour palette at All Fun Challenges.  The pinks and purples were so pretty and I think suited the lovely peony blooms really well.  I flicked a bit of gold over my water coloured blooms before colouring up one of the fab Make it Crafty chippies in the same gold.

I went with the sentiment of ‘Sending a big hug’ as this is going out to a crafty friend who has just had her second round of surgery to remove a brain tumour.  Over at Gina K they are challenging us to send encouragement cards to our friends and that’s what this card is.  So I could play along I have also decorated my envelope, I just stamped the image and did it up in gold embossing powder.  My envelope was thin and, as I put the image right on the corner, I couldn’t get my magnets to hold fully so I got a ghost impression as the envelope lifted and shifted when I lifted the stamp to reink.  C’est la vie, although I don’t think the double image looks all that bad.

At Sweet Stampin’ they’re looking for bright and beautiful makes.  My pretty pinks and purples are quite bright and I certainly think my card is beautiful so I’m also linking up there.

Hoping this helps bring a smile to my friend’s face.  Going through this sort of thing is hard at the best of times but when your family isn’t allowed to come visit thanks to social distancing it’s so much harder.  But, as crafters, we can always send hugs in a card and if you do, why not link it up over at our monthly challenge at Bizzy Becs.  Our theme is always anything goes and you could win five digi stamps.
