The snowman is
coloured with water colours and to make the card more Christmassy I did the
birds up as cardinals, although frankly I need way more practice with my water
colours! The sentiment is from Kraftin’ Kimmie Stamps and is one from the Holiday Style set. It comes stacked so I carefully inked each of
the three lines and used my MISTI to position each one to give me a one line
sentiment instead.
Over at Winter Wonderland they are asking you to add snowflakes to your project. I’ve already done a few cards up with
snowflakes as the main image and wanted to use the Snowman so had to put
my thinking cap on. The embossing theme
at Moving Along With the Times was just what I needed especially as a rummage
through my embossing folder box turned up the Snowfall one from Sheena
Douglas. So I now have lots of
snowflakes on my card, they just happen to be too small to look like the lovely
individually shaped things they are up close!
I also wanted to
play at Jingle Belles where the theme is ‘All Bundled-Up’ meaning lots of
layers. I’m loving my CAS at the moment
so did my layers up in single colours rather than with my designer papers. Including my card base and the fussy cut image I have
five layers in total.
