It Started with a Hug

This super cute image is Squeezey Hugs from Some Odd Girl, which I’ve used on a card for an engagement.
I’m not so good with layouts for cards so I followed the sketch on the Some Odd Girl blog May challenge but mixed it up a bit by making this into a twisted easel card and using some wide rosette ribbon for the rectangular element.  I made this for a colleague at work who, at the end of the week, still has it sitting under her monitor at work and who told me that all the image needed was a beard and it would be the spitting image of her fiancĂ©!

Simply Sweet

This is a fairly simple birthday card I made for a colleague, no embellishments and fuss as this one is for a guy.  I followed a sketch from The Sweet Stop for their SSS207-Sketch with a Spin challenge.  The spin was to make a birthday card.
I decided to leave the front with just the cupcake and stamped my sentiment on the inside instead.

Birthday Madness

March really is the month for birthdays, so I have yet another birthday card, this one featuring a SOG image, Mad Hatter Kody.
This card is for a guy so I kept the patterns quite plain and didn’t go for any embellishments other than the die cuts.  Aren’t those teacups cute?  The recipient is a teetotaller, literally, he drinks tea (not coffee) at work all day.

I followed the sketch at this month’s challenge on the SOG blog although I moved my sentiment to fit my theme and flipped the sketch on its side.  I always thought it was the Mad Hatter who was having an unbirthday tea party but turns out it was Humpty Dumpty who got the unbirthday present so instead I used the raven riddle for my sentiment.  It follows through to the inside, where I printed my sentiment on some cardstock before cutting my frame.
