I love my Bettys
but boy do I have a hard time colouring her hair! Not real happy with how this one turned out
but will keep practicing, it’s the curves that get me. I try to follow them and end up with too much
of my dark tones and lose my highlights.
I added some bling to Betty with some rhinestones on her boots and belt
and a star rhinestone for her super symbol.
Betty’s adhered with an Action Wobble to help give the impression she is
flying.
The challenge
called for stripes but with Super Betty on the card I just had to go with stars
and stripes. I cut the background three
times in red, white and blue card stock and then sliced them all in three
diagonally using one part of each to make my stripes. To give this a flavour of Halloween I added a
stripe of a Halloween clear border sticker with bats on it. The stars are all brads, the larger ones are
actually silver although they scanned looking black. I’d have liked to have used red, white and
blue ones but these are all I had in my stash.
As it is the red ones were a brick red so I touched them up with Siren
Smooch to make them a closer match for my paper.
I cut the badge
by hand after taking the superman shape and adding my own sentiment using
Photoshop to skew the words to fit inside.
I added Glossy Accents to give the badge shine and adhered it with 3D
Zots to finish off my tag.
Thanks for stopping
by!
