Only two weeks in
to the new year and birthday season has well and truly started and I have my
first kidlet birthday card to share, featuring the cute Jude and Lazy from the
Teen Scene Dragon Pets collection at Simply B Stamps.
This card is for
a nephew who turns three this week so I’ve kept the embellies to a minimum lest
they end up being swallowed! It follows the
current Sketch Saturday sketch, a nice CAS one that works well for a boy. I printed off the sentiment on my card base
before adding on my layers, I jazzed it up with some embossing.
I like to use
challenge themes to help me make up my cards, they are often a good prompt,
like the current one at Allsorts to use a ribbon. I really do need to use up my huge stash of
ribbon so rather than use a paper banner I added a line of ribbon for that element
of the sketch.
With my cheery
yellow background card I am also entering this in the current challenge at
Wordplay Saturday.
