I’m sharing a card I made for my niece featuring Art by Mi Ran’s Punkette Peta.

 

My card follows the current sketch at Sketch Saturday, which had lots of lovely layers.  To make up those layers I raided my scrap bag and came up trumps with various papers with splattery sort of designs that suited my punk image.  As I did almost the whole card in scraps (I couldn’t find anything that co-ordinated for the background) I am entering my card in Hiding in my Craft Room’s Super Scraps Saturday challenge.

To help me finish off my card I played along with the bingo game over at Crafty Gals’ Corner.  I’ve used ribbon (bit unconventional in the film strip but, hey, it is called ribbon and I thought suited really well), hand coloured my digi image with my trusty Copics and added in a sentiment created from stickers.

My ribbon includes some manga comic strips I found on DeviantART by HetaOni-Manga.  It is actually four pages from a manga book and the panels do follow on from each other, if anyone wants to read the tiny print!
