Sharing a card featuring
a cute freebie image from Elizabeth Dulemba called Potter Bear.
A crafty friend
has a bear named Bill who loves Harry Potter and it was his birthday so I went
Googling for a bear and Harry Potter and found this fab image. It was crafty serendipity! I’ve coloured Potter Bear to look like my
friend’s bear, hence why I don’t think his scarf is actually right for Harry
Potter, it’s the colour of the scarf Bill wears.
To make up my
card I’ve followed the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I just turned the circle element into an oval
to better fit my image. I made the rectangular
element with a stencilled pattern and some glow in the dark Nuvo drops. I made the stencil from a flourish die that
kinda looked like spell magic swirls coming off a wand. I then added some black with PanPastels to
create the rectangle.
Over at Moving Along With the Times they are looking for wild animals. Although my bear looks domesticated they are
actually wild animals so hoping he still qualifies. As this card was going to a male bear (yeah, I
know he wouldn’t know but there’s a whole story behind Bill and making cards that
bring a smile to people’s faces is why we craft) I kept it CAS with no
embellies other than the chippies to add the sentiment. So I’m also entering it in the current challenge
at Sweet Stampin’.
Oh, and I visited
Bill and his Mamma Bear today and he loved his card!
