No spring nor summer beauty hath such grace...

This is my third project as a guest DT over at the Outlawz Sketch Challenge and it features the super cute Nuts About You! image from this month’s sponsor, The Stamping Chef.

Here’s the fun sketch for this week.

It’s a bit hard to see the top square on my card, I kinda went a bit OTT with the flowers but then I do love my flowers.  The current challenge over at Ruby’s Rainbow is for flora and fauna, got plenty of flora and with that cute little squirrel I’ve got the fauna covered too.  The image includes both the chibi girl and the squirrel and also some cute hearts and musical notes but after popping my image up off the die cut I didn’t really have anywhere for the hearts I’d coloured.

They’re playing tic tac toe over at Crafty Creations and I’ve got three in a row covered with my die cut (perfectly sized to frame my image, you’d think I’d planned that but was a happy fluke), my metal acorn charms (a stash find) and digital image.  With all my flowers and my bits of lace I’ve also got both options from Craftitude’s challenge so I’m also entering my card there.

Keep your jests for the king

This is my last card featuring one of the latest commissioned images from Simply B Stamps, the image is Jester Karen and it really is a fun one.

I love to play along with the challenges at Sketch n’ Dies and I’ve used their sketch to make up my card.  I have three die cuts on this card, I’ve layered two Nesties for the rectangular element Jester Karen is framed by and another for the sentiment.  With so many die cuts I think I’ve got the twist covered for the Craftitude current challenge so I’m entering my card over there.

With a jester as my image I just had to go with bright colours and a real rainbow of them, it’s certainly how I think of jesters.  The candy stripes of the designer paper really work well with the image.  Over at Tok Bobok they’re running a rainbow theme for their challenge into which I’ll be entering my card.

…no friend as loyal as a book

Today I’m sharing a cute little bookmark I made featuring Don’t Forget Your Lunch from the Rio N’ Toots’ collection from Simply B Stamps.

The images in this collection are drawn by Betty inspired by her daughter Rio, who just happens to be a bookworm so what better way to feature the image than on a bookmark.  I cut the image in two to have one on either side of the bookmark, gotta love Betty’s images for their versatility!

My bookmark follows the current sketch over at Papertake Weekly, I just stretched it to be the right shape for a bookmark.  Now you need some ribbon on a bookmark, at least I think you do to easily find it in your book, and I’ve had this awesome skull ribbon in my stash for a while.  With it I am entering this in the current Left of Center challenge, luckily it’s an and/or challenge as flowers would’ve made the bookmark too fat.

I’m also entering this in the current Craftitude challenge where I’ve got all the possible themes covered.  It’s anything goes, easily covered that one, or add a brad, I have two although I wish I’d had a cute skull rather than the hearts but you just gotta roll with what’s in your stash sometimes, or eyelet, got that too which is under the ribbon.
