Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance

I needed a card for a colleague who is rather stylish and one of my new digis (can one ever have too many digis?) Party Frock from All Dressed Up was just perfect for an elegant yet simple card.

I wanted to keep the card fairly CAS as that’s also the recipient’s style and the current sketch over at Friday Sketch was the ideal layout to achieve that look.  I just used lace and ribbon for the horizontal elements and let the layers of plain paper add the interest.  I did add in some pearl embellies as I couldn’t let it go too plain and they were the third element for the current Dream Valley challenge.  Can you believe I couldn’t find any black pearls in my stash, surely one of the basics of any craft stash so I had to colour some white ones!

As my card also features an All Dressed Up image I am also entering it in the current challenge over at their challenge blog where the theme is always the easy peasy anything goes.
