Today’s card is for the second twin and features another Flower Portrait image from Simply B Stamps, this one is Lilli.

To make up my card I’ve followed the current sketch at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2.  I used a lovely piece of lace for the rectangle element and my new Dewdrop Circle die to frame the pretty image.

For inspiration on my embellishments I’ve used the bingo board at Cards und More.  I’ve selected the diagonal top right to bottom left and have flowers on my image and as embellies, lots of pink and some ribbon roses.

Over at Allsorts they are looking for pearls and gems and I’ve used both to finish embellishing my card.  I framed the sweet image with pearls and added some pearls as stems to the flower in the corner as well as nestling some pearl topped pins among my floral embellies.  Finally to add a bit of glam to the image I’ve given her a necklace using Bitty Gems I coloured up to match the image.

An evening orchid…

I have a very feminine card to share today featuring the very pretty Flower Portrait Orchid from Simply B Stamps.

The image was part of a fundraiser set, to buy these you need to be part of the Simply B Stamps Fan Page.  I needed to make a pair of cards for a set of twins and I knew the delightful Flower Portrait images were going to be just perfect for them.

To make up this card I’ve followed the sketch over at Aud Sentiments, my card also features the required sentiment, stamped in Spun Sugar Distress Ink on a die cut frame.  I used die cuts for the other elements of the sketch too and I have four different die cuts on my card and also four flowers and four Swarovski crystals so I am entering the current challenge at Crafty Creations, where their theme is four of things.

At Coffee, Chocolate & Cards they are looking for flowers in your image, which I have in mine.  I’m actually fairly happy with how I coloured them too for a change.  I picked up the floral theme and decided to make my background with a stencil and some ink and embossing powder.  I wasn’t so good with inking my flowers, used my spray gun for the first time and am thinking I am going back to using my Copic air gun instead.

It's a perfect night for mystery and horror

My card today features a special image Betty, from Simply B Stamps, drew up for her son, Christian, and his finance, Yazmin, to celebrate their engagement.

I had a lot of fun with this card, going for a pretty but grungy look to suit the Frankenstein theme.  With that theme I just had to distress my gorgeous papers from Riddersholm Design so I am entering this in the current challenge over at Dream Valley.

I didn’t follow a sketch for this card but was inspired in the design by a beautiful card from Dorota of the Riddersholm Design DT.  For further inspiration I played along with the tic tac toe challenge Left of Center has running choosing the right-hand vertical line using a die cut (I have three actually), a charm and lots of different ink techniques.  I’ve inked the edges of my designer papers, sprayed ink on some of my flowers, inked up my die cuts and also inked my image.

You can’t go Frankenstein without having some stitching and I have used real stitching to join my two pieces of designer paper.  With that stitching I am also entering my card in Cheery Lynn Designs’ current challenge.  I’ve used their beautiful Heart to Heart Doily die as a background to the image and framed the heart with their funky Barbed Wire die.  I cut the barbed wire from metal and distressed it with some Old Rust ink, love how it turned out.  I also distressed the doily with some Fran-tage, the inner heart I inked up and then added more Fran-tage and finished the distressing with some crackle paint.
