…but more cake

Sharing a card featuring just the cake from the Curvy Girl Eats Cake set by Stamping Bella.

My layout follows the current sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches where I’ve used a die cut panel from Whimsy Stamps called Peekaboo Window 4 for the main rectangle element.  I turned the windows into shakers and popped the cake into one of them.  My sentiment features part of the included sentiment with the Curvy Girl Eats Cake stamp plus one of the sentiments from the Penguin Poop set by Whimsy Stamps.

Over at Just Us Girls they’re looking for circles on your creations.  I have some die cut ones plus all of the circular sequins on my card so am linking up in their 500th challenge ~ what an amazing effort!  So grateful to have such fun challenges to play along with and such dedicated people to keep them going for so long.

At the Unicorn Challenge you can either load up your card or go CAS.  I’ve chosen the latter, well I think this is CAS, maybe I should have stuck with white on white?  But as you can go either maybe it qualifies no matter what, all I know was that floral paper was too pretty to cover up for all but the background to the shaker elements!

Words that enlighten the soul are more precious than jewels

Sharing a QCAS card featuring a stamp from The Ink Road called Bun Intended 2.

My layout is from the current sketch at Fusion, where I’m just playing the sketch half of the challenge, although with my mostly black and white colour I could almost be rocking the fusion.  I actually went with my black and white with a pop of red to play along at The Paper Players.  Love this colour combo so much.

Rather than colouring the image I’ve just added clear embossing powder so the image and the sentiment both have a lovely shine and texture.  Did this so I could also link up at International Art & Soul.  A few black gems for some added interest finished off my very CAS card.

This card is heading out to a teenage girl for her birthday, which is why I went with the sentiment from the Bun Intended 3 set from The Ink Road.  I think it’s a great self-affirming sentiment for what can be a really hard time in a girl’s life.

When the peonies bloomed…

Sharing a pretty CAS card I’ve done for a friend’s birthday using a stamp from the Birthday Blooms set from Stampin’ Up!.

For my layout I’ve used the sketch over at TGIF.  It was a good one as it allowed me to cut my flower from the piece of water colour that wasn’t big enough for a card front, without actually having to fussy cut it, which I was dreading doing.  Then there’s the gems they so clearly wanted me to add to this, always love any excuse for some and even better when the placement is given to you, I don’t do that random placement thing very well on my own!

Over at As You Like It they want to see your fav flower and hear why you like.  I’m not really sure what flower this is but it kinda looks like a peony and really, I’m a sucker for anything that looks like this kind of flower.  I have heaps of stamps with variants of this kind so guessing it must be a favourite, at least in stamps and crafting!

Flowers also happen to be the topping over at Seize the Birthday, so I’m also entering my card in their current challenge.
