Sharing a card
featuring the now retired Anya Nerds Out from The Greeting Farm.
This card is
going to one of my staff for her birthday and the stamp was bought especially
for it. As soon as I saw it, I thought
of my staff member, Anya looks just like her, well, OK, no, she doesn’t wear
leg warmers but the rest is spot on!
The layout of my
card follows the sketch over at TGIF. I
did shift the placement of the sentiment off to the left though, just so I
didn’t cover up Anya’s feet as it looked a bit weird when I paced the sentiment
box over them. The sentiment is from the
Uniquely Creative All Occasions set. I
also thought the sentiments on the Kaisercraft paper really worked for my staff
member, she reads widely and likes to take inspiration from what she reads.
The sketch was
perfect for adding a border or two so I could also play along at Creative Knockouts. I’ve created mine on the
cardstock I stamped my image on using all three of the dies in the Mama
Elephant Fine Trimmings set.
Over at CraftyFriends they want to see projects for ladies or girls, which my card certainly
is. So, I am also linking it up there.
