I discovered Simply Betty Stamps a few months ago purely by chance and I
love them! There’s a goth inside me who
never really came out, I think my fear of all things creepy kept her locked
inside. So the Simply Betty stamps with
their fun, quirky and sweet Gothic inspired looks really appeal.
Betty has a challenge blog, with the delicious title of Simply Challenged Challenges and their first challenge is to embrace your inner
Betty. Loving the stamps I couldn’t
resist but do an entry.
I combined my entry with a sketch from this week's RAQ’s challenge over at the Cricut MB and chose the Scrapbook Betty as my inner Betty. I coloured her with my Copics and added some highlights with Stickles, Smooch and Liquid Pearls. I finished her off with a coat of Liquid Glass as I love the way it makes stamped and coloured images pop and shine.
I used my Cricut Everyday cart to cut images of the Cricut machines I
own and some tools, once I assembled these I added details with Liquid Pearls
and my Copics (things that were too small to cut properly at the 1” size I cut
these at). The sentiment was written on
my Cricut too using the same cart and gel pens – it is so true about me, I
generally order a box full of paper each month!
The background paper is from Webster’s Pages and the mini stacks are cut
from a Cosmo Cricket Mini Deck. The
mushroom brads are from Eyelet Outlet, being a ’shroom they were the obvious
choice for paper weights.
Thanks for stopping by!
Edit: I was so excited to get a top three placing for this card from the
team at Simply Challenged Challenges!!
What a fabulous card Elizabeth, I love love all the details and all those Cricut things. I am going to have to check out those stamps.
