The gorgeous
image on my card today is Rio Gone Batty from the A Roberts’ Halloween
collection at Simply B Stamps. This one
is modelled on Betty’s beautiful daughter Rio, pre her cute pixie haircut!
To make up my
card I followed a sketch at Cardabilities, I found some lovely papers in my
scrap draws that suited the sketch really well.
I tend to just add to my scrap piles rather than ever taking from them
so I set myself a challenge to not cut a new piece of paper for this card and I’m
proud to say I met that challenge.
While I was hunting out scraps I also came across a packet of Prima leaves that I bought last year, I think. They weren’t even open but the colours worked well with my dusty pink flowers so I used them in my embellishment detail. They’ve got a “forgotten things” challenge at Our Creative Corner and those Prima leaves were forgotten in a drawer so I’m entering my card in their challenge.
I love the slightly shabby and definitely vintage feel to Abigail Larson’s artwork and this image has both those elements to it so, with my paper roses, I think my card fits the current challenge at Sugar Creek Hollow so I’m entering it there too.
Don’t forget that we’ve got a layers challenge going on over at Simply Steampunk Challenges, you’ll note there’s just a few on my card! You’ve got until 3 October to get your Steampunks layered up.
