The uber talented
artists at Simply B Stamps and The Stamping Chef have teamed up again for
another awesome challenge, this time is Vampires vs The Day of the Dead. And today I’ve got my Day of the Dead card to
share, she features Annierexia from Simply B Stamps.
I love digis for the ability to resize any which way you want, which is exactly what I did with Annierexia, stretching her lengthwise to suit the sketch I followed from Retro Sketches. I love her gorgeous curls which were great to colour.
The challenge
called for one of two things besides the images, Betty’s offering was glitter
so I’ve featured that in my card using her image. There’s glitter on the stickers I used for
the embellishments in the top corner, I also used two kinds of glittery paint on
my flower layers. The sketch also forced
me to use some of the metres of baker’s twine I have in my collection, much of which
has nothing missing off the spool!
I found some
glittery ribbon among my SBS Ribbon Swap stash in a colour to match my image
and also found the skeleton in my button stash, I thought he was rather
appropriate for a Day of the Dead themed project. With these elements I’m also entering my card
in the current challenges at Joanna Sheen, Drunken Stampers, and Party Time Tuesday. With my digi I’m also entering
into the challenge at One Stitch at a Time.

What a fun card this is Emily - your imade is stunning - now what conditioner does she use to have such incredible shine to her hair I wonder. The colour scheme is so dramatic and I adore your skeleton button, I haven't got any of those in my button box so I'm quite envious :-) Good luck in our challenge this week. Ingrid xx (OSAAT Team)
ReplyDeleteLike the hair coloring. The background rose paper goes well with this image. Thank you for entering OSAAT CH#180 Use a Digi.

ReplyDeleteYour coloring is outstanding- her hair looks magnificent! This card is creepy in a very good way! The skeleton button is perfection! Thanks for playing along with the Drunken Stampers this week!
ReplyDeleteWow! This is one of those cards that I have to spend about 15 minutes looking at just to see all of the elements you have used. I can see that you stretched the digital stamp, I never would have thought of doing that but if works. Your coloring is fabulous and your paper & embellishments really go well together.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for playing along with the Stitchy Angel Design Team, see you next week!
Hugs,
