I’m sharing a
card today I have made for a friend’s son who is turning 21, which features
Aurora Wings’ Steampunk Owl image.
And no, I didn’t
colour the image, I embossed it on some copper to add some interest to my
otherwise CAS card. I then applied the
Tim Holtz’s industrious metal technique, although it is hard to see the effect in
the photo, metal isn’t great to take a picture of.
My card follows
the current sketch over at Retrosketches, I flipped it but not by design, got a
bit confused when I was setting up my printing.
The happy birthday and 21 sentiments were all printed on my computer, or
rather, I printed the background to the happy birthday. I then used foil to make the sentiment into
the design element. I was going to add
in a frame around the owl like in the sketch but then thought it might all get
a bit busy so have just used the owl for the focal element.
Which of course
meant that my card was minus embellies so I am also entering it in the current
challenge at ABC Challenges. And, as it
is a male card, I am linking it up at the Crafter’s Café.
