…before it was too late to have a proper tea…

I have a card to share today featuring two images, Coffee and Friends from Kraftin’ Kimmie and Cafe de Paris Scene from Make it Crafty.

The Kraftin’ Kimmie stamp is sadly now retired so I’m glad I got mine when I had the chance.  For some reason I can’t seem to stamp an Annie Rodrigue image from Kraftin’ Kimmie in anything but Desert Sand to do some no lines colouring.

I wanted to do something a bit fancy with this card so I have tried a new card type I found on Splitcoast Stampers called an Envelope Fold Card.  As this is a fancy fold card I am entering it in the current challenge at The Paper Girls.

While I have kept my embellies to a minimum and flat to ensure this folds up as it should I have added quite a few layers, probably more than I really should have.  My background image is double matted as is my apt quote from Peter Pan.  I’ve popped the image up on some foam squares to add some further depth.  Lots of layers is the current theme over at Creative Knockouts so I’m entering my card there.

This card is celebrating a special birthday for a special friend.  I’ve added in the milestone (40) on my little tea bag label and I chose the picture as it actually looks a lot like my friend and I and we celebrate our birthdays with high tea.  Fussy cutting the image was a bit of challenge with all the little bits to get around but I like a challenge!  I’ve also got lots of die cuts on this so have both the theme and optional twist for the challenge at Time Out covered.
