Music is well said to be the speech of angels…

Sharing my last Christmas card for 2018 that only just got finished and mailed featuring the beautiful 2018 Christmas Angel die cut from Sue Wilson and a sentiment from Altenew’s Starry Night set.

I was originally going to do the angel in a faux stained-glass effect but when I saw the current sketch at CAS Colours & Sketches it sent me off on an entirely different direction.  I used another die for the horizontal element and randomly added some gems in the holes prompted by the add some sparkle theme at Sparkles Christmas.

Once I’d picked the die cut for the background, I decided I needed an inked base for it.  I went with purple tones as this card is heading out to a friend who loves purple.  After I adhered the angel, I added in the sentiment stamped on the same pearlescent paper as the angel and matted on some plain purple cardstock to match the rest of the card.

Over at Unicorn Challenge they are looking for things with wings on your project so I am also linking my card up there.
