Sharing a card I made
for my nephew featuring a fun stamp called Skater by the now closed Saturated
Canary.
The layout
follows the current sketch at AAA Cards, which I flipped on its side. For the rectangular elements I used washi
tape so I could also play along at Happy Little Stampers CAS
challenge. Luckily, I had a roll of
washi with ‘Happy birthday’ printed on it so that took care of my sentiment as
well. I teamed it with two different
patterned tapes to echo graphics on skateboards and tie in with my image.
Over at The Crafter’s Café they want you to layer it up or keep it CAS with some yellow. I’ve a splash of yellow and am CAS but I’ve
actually played the layer it up half of the challenge. I love adding layers of cardstock to my cards
for weight and interest. On this card I have
four plus the card base and then the layer of washi and finally the stamp fussy
cut and layered on top.
