...it was about your Christmas, there was smoke... and fire!

It’s challenge time over at PunkyouGirl with Creepmas as the theme and my card features an awesome image from BB Kakes via Stitchy Bear, Skulldiva.

To make up my card I’ve followed the current sketch over at Sweet Sketch Wednesday 2, which was awesome for being able to layer, which I love to do.  The twist was to add buttons or bows, which also fit well as it allowed me to echo the bows with skull centres from Skulldiva’s shoes in my embellies.  And don’t you just love the skullies I’ve used?  They are awesome as is the gorgeous Wendy, who made them especially for me.

With an image like this and a Creepmas theme I was feeling a bit steamy, Steampunky that is, which is the current theme over at Miriam’s Crafting.  So I raided my metal stash to see what I had and came up with Steampunk holly and berry to go with my skullies.  I’m no clay modeller like Wendy so I had to add in the Santa hat and holly and berry on my skullies using shrink film, problem is I’ve run out of the printable kind.  So I used clear and coloured it with Smooch, which ended up working really well on the Santa hat as it has a raised texture to it.

Over at A Creative Romance they are looking for you to use something old on your project.  The designer papers I’ve used are from the Kaisercraft Twig and Berry collection from way back in 2012 so I think they count.

So I’ll stay and see you through

It’s sketch challenge time over at Outlawz and I have a card featuring Geeky by Emma Canning.

And here’s the sketch.

I kept thinking of Miss Stacy from Anne of Green Gables for some reason and the sketch suited a romantic and rustic theme so out came the roses and the pearls.  Soft pink seemed the right colour too and I’ve lots of it on my card so I am entering the current challenge over at A Creative Romance.

Although they always do an anything goes challenge over at Creative Fingers, when I play along I always use the DT twist, in this case it was layers, almost as much a favourite of mine as flowers.  I’ve got plenty of layers on this card with my designer papers, ribbons and embellies.

I’ve been wanting to use the lovely stitched ribbon that’s been in my stash for some time and it was the perfect fit for this card atop some lovely pink lace.  With my stitching I am also entering my card over at the Alphabet Challenge.

Baby love, my baby love

This is the final layout from my baby book  and it features the super cute Baby Mess London from the Baby Teen Scene collection at Simply B Stamps and her adorable kitty Lynx.

This page is all about baby’s food and drink firsts and no doubt the little girl who’s book this will be will end up looking a lot like London at some stage with food all over herself and everywhere else.  With food in the image and my food related embellies, not to mention the food theme to the page, I am entering this layout in the current A Creative Romance challenge.

To make up the layout I followed the current sketch at Friday Sketch, I just flipped it for the other page and left off the large oval element to allow for the journaling.  My oval is a lovely Nestie, I love how large the grand ones are and the one I have used provides for a good sized photo of baby.  As I have a die cut I am also entering this in the current challenge at The Sisterhood of Crafters.

As this is my last layout, heres a recap of the entire baby book.
