I have a CAS card
to share that I made up today for a colleague.
To make up the
card I’ve followed the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, they are a CAS
style challenge and that’s what I needed for this card as it is going to a
male. I resized the sketch to a 6x6 and
printed it out and then cut out the three vertical elements to use as
templates.
I used the Tic
Tac Toe board at another CAS challenge site, CAS-ual Fridays, to help complete my card, I’ve
gone with dots (the Candi) and grey for my colour scheme. I already had twine from the sketch so that
gave me my three in a row. Tic Tac Toe challenges are great for helping you use your neglected stash, like my Candi that has been in my stash for near on two years and rarely ever used.
I am the
world’s worst stamper so my sentiment is a bit blurry, I wanted to add interest
so I used Fran-tage to emboss these so I am also entering this in the current challenge
over at a A Gem of a Challenge.
Despite the dodgy
stamping I think this turned out quite well.
I’ve kept my embellies masculine too, I didn’t have an appropriate button
so I went with a car part from the Junkyard Findings’ range and some screw
brads. I love my metal embellies and I do
love things a bit grungy, hopefully so too will my colleague.
