Write the softest words and kiss them…

I have a Valentine’s card to share with an adorable new image from Simply B Stamps Teen Scene Holiday collection, Batty for Rio.

As always, I’ve coloured my image with my trusty Copics so I’m entering the Addicted to Stamps and More challenge.  I’ve gone with traditional Valentine’s colours with this one, in soft pinks, and added some mulberry flowers for a bit of interest.

I’ve also finally broken out some of my endless supply of washi tape to help break up the background.  With my washi tape element I am entering this in the current Ribbon Carousel challenge.

I am really on a Fran-tage kick at the moment, I’ve used it again to edge my die cut, I love the bit of sparkle it adds.  I was going to put more as a background to the image but am glad I held off, I think it would have been too much had I added it.  All in all, I think this is a rather cute Valentine’s card, and with the batty messenger bringing a love letter there is definitely love in the air so I’m also entering the Make My Monday challenge.

Sticking Pins in a Doll

Day 13 of my Spooktober personal challenge and I’m still hanging in there, it’s also Day 4 of the 13 Days of Halloween at Simply B Stamps with a theme of a toe tag.  Mine features a new digi, Voodoo Corinne.

For anyone on the SBS Fan Page, they know how much Corinne loves to stick pins in people so this image is just perfect for her!  I’ve cut the fake toe tag from some Echo Park paper and filled in some details for Corinne.

To make up the tag I cropped the voodoo doll from the image and placed them in a pattern to print on some more Echo Park paper.  There’s a recipe challenge at Totally Paper Crafts calling for one image (got that in Voodoo Corinne), two papers (I have two DP, I’m not counting the black tag itself) and three embellishments (I’ve got two pins and a flower) so I’m entering this in that challenge.  I’ve used twine on the tag instead of ribbon in keeping with the fact this is meant to be a toe tag and morticians don’t tie pretty bows with ribbon, at least I don’t think they do!  As I have an off the spool item I’m also entering it in the Halloween challenge at Ribbon Carousel.
