I’ve got a card
to share today featuring a retired commissioned image from Simply B Stamps called
Sharman.
The layout follows the sketch over at Get Creative, where I’ve formed the elements using ink, texture paste and stencils rather than paper. For the two stripes I’ve stencilled flowers in texture paste and then created another stencilled background for the image.
I went with texture paste for the flowers and embossing for the sentiment after seeing the current challenge at Lawnscaping was to add texture. It let me create a fancy card that isn’t too fussy, in keeping with the recipient’s tastes. Added texture comes from the resin embellies I used, the lotus flower blooms the closest match I had to the flowers in Tim’s stencil.
My colour scheme came from Hand Stamped Sentiments, I did have to add some colours (green for the flower stems and skin and hair on the image) but tried to match the two pink tones in the flowers and the background. Added the blue in the outfit on my coloured image.
