…and each moment is a day

I needed a card for a 50th birthday which seemed the perfect excuse to colour up two gorgeous images from Abigail Larson available at Simply B Stamps, Mr Roberts and Clocks.

Now you can’t see Clocks on the outside of this card as it’s a special ‘peek-a-boo’ card I made following a tut by Norma of From my Craft Room (you’ve got check out her lovely work and awesome tuts).  So here is a view with Clocks.

While this is a fab card type it doesn’t exactly leave you with much space to write, am going to have a think on it and maybe shift from my usual and favourite 6x6 size and see if I can alter the pattern to give more space inside.

For now though, I am happy with the card, which I’ve kept fairly simple as it is, hopefully obviously, for a male.  Shopping our Stash have a metal challenge going and if there’s something my stash is full of it's metal.  So in I went and hunted around, I tried to spell out more of my sentiment in metal but just didn’t have words that worked so went with two variants on the same emotion in different styles of embellishment.  Loved the clock hands, I’ve been hoarding them for a while, so added them even though they’re black and my time piece is silver.

I went with the mostly green colour as the recipient is Irish by heritage and with my green I am entering this in the current challenge at Creative Card Crew. I was a bit conflicted on whether to add in the number 50 on the front but contented myself with a clock set to five as I think reaching a half century is a bit of a touchy thing for the recipient.  But I still have a number, twelve in fact, so I am also linking this up at Addicted to Stamps’ current challenge.
