Just a hint of peppermint…

I’m sharing a quick CAS Christmas card featuring one of Tim Holtz’s blueprint stamps from his Christmas 3 set.

I chose my image to fit the current theme at Sparkles Christmas, a good excuse to get some ink on this stamp, the first in the set I have used.  As my image features stripes I am also entering this in the current challenge at Less is More.  Wanting to play there kept me from making this card at all fancy and I’ve laid off the embellies completely, just dusting the image and sentiment with clear embossing powder to add a bit of shine and texture.  I did add some layers to my card with a border of red, mostly so I could echo the red and white stripes of the candy cane.

Over at AAA Cards they want to see projects featuring stencils so to fit their theme I added in my sentiment using one of Tim’s mini stencils.  I chose ‘Joy’ as sucking on a candy cane is one of those joyful, albeit slightly guilty, traditions at Christmas.
