Come and trim my Christmas tree...

Sharing my first Christmas card design for my bulk cards featuring dies from Cottage Cutz and Impression Obsession.

The layout for these cards follows the current sketch at CAS(E) this Sketch.  I created the various elements with my papers and the die cut.  To make the designs different I changed up the base colours and also the designer papers, as well as the die cut.

I chose the die cuts to play along at Kreativ-Tanten where they are looking for Christmas trees on your project.  Over at If You Give a Crafter a Cookie, they have some lovely cookies for inspiration and there was one with a tree.  The cookie colour made me pick the kraft background and I added Nuvo drops to imitate the icing on the tree.

I’ve made up 10 of these cards, five each with the red and green border and the two designer papers and die cuts.  Now I just have another 40 cards to go!

If they but taste of Chocolate

Sharing a fun set of shaker cards today featuring two images from the Neat & Tangled Eggstra Special set.

These cards are my last gift cards I made using the March Hippity Hoppity kit from Aunty Vera Scrap and Craft, where I am proud to be guesting this month.  I’ve used two different diagonal patterned papers from the kit on these first two with stamps from the included Eggstra Special set.  I’m entering these in the Easter challenge at Creative Friday.

I printed the sentiments on the computer and mounted on a pair of tags that came in the Echo Park Hello Easter Ephemera Icons pack in the kit.  The shaker mixes are my own, I love making shaker mixes and found some cute elements at the discount store.  I backed the shaker with some different papers from the kit.

The second pair of gift cards also feature papers from the kit, this time I decorated just with rabbits; the Cottage Cutz die and also Owlet Eyelet brads both from the kit.  I did another printed sentiment for one.  On the last I used a sentiment from the ephemera kit.  The shaker frames were all cut from the Scalloped Square Frames die set from Paper Rose.  I’m entering these in the current challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks, where their theme is brads, which you don’t see near enough anymore.

At Animal Friends they are having an Easter challenge too so I am entering my cards over there as I have lots of bunnies and a little chickee.

…any other woman can surmise her thoughts

Sharing a set of four Easter gift cards I made featuring the Echo Park Hello Easter collection and Rabbit die from Cottage Cutz.

This is my second project for my guest DT spot over at Aunty Vera’s and features some of the awesome products in the March Hippity Hoppity Kit.  I decided I would use the included twine from the kit to stitch on my cards.  My first two feature cross-stitching, which was by far the easiest of the stitching I did.  We won’t talk about the green one and my failure to adhere to the cardinal rule of cross-stitching to have all the stitches go in the same direction!  I finished off the cards with elements from the Hello Easter Ephemera Icons pack, a die cut rabbit and some bunny brads.

My third card I decided to stitch in some of the flower detail on one of the papers.  This was hard given how small the flowers were and how thick the twine, some of those stitches are still visible only through a wish and a prayer before I adhered the stitched panel to the card base given the tearing that happened!  But I think it turned out pretty good in the end.

For the final one I stamped the egg image from the included Neat & Tangled Eggstra Special stamp set and then set about stitching it.  After the mess of the floral piece it was pretty clear I wasn’t going to be able to also stitch in the ribbon detail.  So I stamped the image several times on red cardstock and just paper pieced that in.

The embellie elements on my cards are all popped up on foam tape so I am entering my gift cards in the current challenge at Southern Girls.  As my cards feature cute rabbit images I am also linking up at the spring cuties challenge at Cutie Pie.  My Time to Craft also have an Easter themed challenge running so I am entering my cards there too.
