The beautiful
image on my card is the Pixie that was included with the Coloring Class with Betty over at Simply B Stamps.
Now I’ve had her
coloured up for a while, I didn’t colour along with the class but I did print
her out and then coloured her on the train after work a couple of nights. She’s been waiting to go on a project ever
since and the ‘Using Your Favourite Colours’ challenge over at Through thePurple Haze was the perfect excuse to finally do up a project.
I don’t really
have a favourite colour but this image works for that theme as the skin tones
are the ones Betty used in the class (mostly) and ever since I coloured up this
pixie they have been the only skin tones I’ve used. So you can say that they are my favourite
skin tone colours. The hair colour is
also my favourite non-traditional hair colour although I tend to stick to
traditional colours but for an image like this you can’t go for a boring blonde
or brunette! The colour combinations on the
wings also spent a long time in my Copic wallet and have been used on a few
projects since, for a subtle feel to an image I do tend to find myself going
for these. So I guess you could say that
these are my favourite colours, if not in the strict sense that people usually
mean!
To make up my
card I followed the current sketch at Bearly Mine Challenges. I’m thinking now maybe I needed some
patterned background paper but it’s all glued down so too late to change my
mind! The small piece I actually printed
off from the Bearly Mine Designs Steampunk Fantasy digi paper set.
