Loved I not his letters full of beauty?

This is my last card featuring the sweet images from Simply B Stamps’ Teen Scene Gods in Love collection and this one showcases Jude Hermes.

The layout follows the current sketch over at Outlawz and, with my simple colour scheme, really let Jude Hermes take centre stage.  I’ve had the wooden heart embellie in my stash for ages and it was the perfect embellie for this card.

This image didn’t come with a sentiment so I took the very appropriate one from the recently released Batty for Rio and transferred it to a piece of black card then used my Picket Fence Distress Marker and some Smooch to colour it.  With my sentiment I am entering this in the current Card Mania challenge.

As always my image was coloured with my trusty Copics so I am also entering this in current challenge at MarkerPOP!

…but I drifted

There’s some new editions to the Fairy Tales & Myths collection of Steampunk images over at Simply B Stamps and I have the gorgeous Snow White to show today.

As with all my release day images I have placed this image on a Kraft album page, the layout for this one follows the current sketch at Friday Sketch Challenge.  I seem to always find a sketch I like in the wrong shape, normally I am resizing rectangles to squares but this time I had to go the other way.  It was a great sketch though for showing off the designer papers I wanted to use in all their woodsy glory.  I really wanted to contrast the background that is more Snow White and the Huntsman with my Snow White who is in the bright colours of Disney.

I had to add butterfly embellies, I wanted to add some birds too but didn’t have any small enough, again reminiscent of Disney’s Snow White.  And with my butterflies I am entering this in the current Crafting Musketeers’ challenge.

But of course this is a Steampunk project so it had to have Steampunk butterflies, I thought the Jolee’s Boutique ones needed some added dimension to I added some real gears.  I’d have liked to add a large one on the right side too but my stash of gears is almost completely used up and the couple I had were way too big.  In keeping with the Steampunk theme my other butterflies are a bit grungy as is my label, which is a Prima wood trinket turned over to reveal the uncoloured side.  As this is a Steampunk project I am also entering it in the Crafts 4 Eternity current challenge.

I have a Greek inspired card to share today featuring the sweet Betty Medusa image from the Teen Scene Gods in Love collection from Simply B Stamps.

No hideous gorgon here, this Medusa is Bettyliciously beautiful!

My card follows the current sketch at Outlawz, the lines in the background worked perfectly to create a column like effect that suited my Greek theme really well.  I have layer upon layer on this card with lots of foam squares to give all the depth so I am also entering this at Card Makin’ Mamas.

I wanted a fun sentiment to go with the image so thought this would serve as the prelude to something inside, the inspiration for exactly what hasn’t yet struck me though.  I have this card in mind for a friend’s birthday so will think of something suitable to that with a play on Medusa’s mythical stone creating powers and temptation.  But with my sentiment on the front I am linking this up at A Creative Romance’s current challenge.
