Je suis calme comme on l'est quand on a conscience reproche un rien

There’s a fun new sketch over at Outlawz and I’ve made a vintage inspired card featuring the beautiful Marie Antoinette image from this month’s fabulous sponsor, Aurora Wings.

I just had to go vintage with this gorgeous image, I love Marie Antoinette and Mitzi’s version is just stunning.  I’m entering my card in the current vintage challenge over at Just Inspirational.  Of course being vintage and featuring Marie Antoinette I just had to put some flowers on this.  Lots of them, including some paper ones and some metal ones so I’m also entering it in the current challenge at Craft Horders Anonymous.

The metal ones have been in my stash for quite some time and were perfect for this especially when I added the pretty pink brads to the centre.  With my brads I am also entering this at Use Your Stuff.  I certainly don’t use my brads enough, these ones came off an unopened packet that has been in my drawer for so long I had forgotten I even had them!  As I also have three metal flowers, three paper flowers and three brands I’m also linking this up at The Crazy Challenge.

Now you can’t have a vintage and shabby card without a lot of layers and I do love layers.  For this one I have three layers of paper, all a bit grungey and shabby.  With those three layers I am entering this over at Stamps & Fun =Creativity.  As I also have an image coloured with markers, my trusty Copics of course, I’m also entering the current MarkerPop! challenge.

I love how this card turned out.  Hope I’ve inspired you to come play along with this week’s sketch, which will be my last for a little while as I take a lovely and long holiday overseas.

And the sweet white brow is all of her

This is my second card featuring one of the new Jude at the Circus images from Simply B Stamps; this one is the adorable Cutie Clown Lily.

This image has to be my favourite from this collection, head on over to the SBS blog and check out all the other images the awesome DT have done up.  The sweet sentiment comes with the image, I just used Photoshop to add the shadow to it and change the font colour to pink.

My card layout is from Fussy and Fancy’s current challenge, loving the layers on this one.  Polkadoodles has a sugar and spice challenge going, with all the fairy flossy colours and the sweet girlie image this card does remind me of the rhyme and all the things little girls are made of.

I remember going to the circus as a child and thinking how magical it all seemed with the women in their sparkly costumes on the trapeze and the animals that did tricks.  It was definitely always an experience full of wonder, not to mention the sweet treat of fairy floss!  So I’m also entering this in the current 7Dots Studio challenge, all of the gorgeous designer papers I’ve used on the card  are from their collections.

Loved I not his letters full of beauty?

This is my last card featuring the sweet images from Simply B Stamps’ Teen Scene Gods in Love collection and this one showcases Jude Hermes.

The layout follows the current sketch over at Outlawz and, with my simple colour scheme, really let Jude Hermes take centre stage.  I’ve had the wooden heart embellie in my stash for ages and it was the perfect embellie for this card.

This image didn’t come with a sentiment so I took the very appropriate one from the recently released Batty for Rio and transferred it to a piece of black card then used my Picket Fence Distress Marker and some Smooch to colour it.  With my sentiment I am entering this in the current Card Mania challenge.

As always my image was coloured with my trusty Copics so I am also entering this in current challenge at MarkerPOP!

Now the holly bears a berry as blood it is red

I am so far behind on my Christmas cards but here is one that I have managed to make featuring the adorable Berry, from Wee Stamps.

This card will be winging its way overseas, if I can ever get to the post office!  What happened to this year I just don’t know but Christmas has snuck up on me worse than last year and there are more things left undone than done.  But at least I can tick one card off my list, one that I think turned out really sweetly.

In making up my card I’ve followed the sketch over at Bearly Mine Challenge and used a couple of their Christmas Traditions digi papers.    The current challenge at Through the Purple Haze is to use your favourite Christmas colours.  When it comes to Christmas I am a real traditionalist so I’ve gone with a red and green colour scheme.

Seeing as I am trying desperately to catch up on my Christmas card making I guess this card fits the current Cute Card Thursday challenge so I’m entering it over there.  It’s certainly the season for Christmas cards and that’s the current theme at Creative Knockouts where I’m also linking this card.  I’ve got lots of sparkly bling so I’m entering it at the current Craftitude challenge and, as I’ve coloured my image up with Copics and it is holiday themed I’m also linking it at MarkerPOP.
