Dinah my dear!

One of my nieces is turning seven shortly and I’ve made a cute card featuring Jules from Saturated Canary for her.

I bought this image because it reminded me of Alice and I am huge Alice in Wonderland fan so I had to colour her up to look like Alice.  I also picked my designer paper with Alice in Wonderland in mind with the mushrooms a nod to the wise caterpillar who offers Alice sage advice.  While the book doesn’t feature a view master I thought it was a fitting way to bring in the circle element from the current sketch at Just Add Ink as Alice’s adventures would make the perfect subject of a view master wheel.

As this card has been very much inspired by Alice in Wonderland I am entering it in the current challenge at 4 Crafty Chicks.  I don’t know much about cats to know if you need a black cat to produce black and white kittens (Lewis Carroll never describes poor Dinah but we do know she had a black and white kitten) so I went for a grey one rather than the reddy brown one Disney used.  With Jules’ sweet kitty on my card I am also entering it in the current challenge at Jo’s Scrap Shack as fitting the whiskers criteria.
