Sharing a CAS
birthday card I made for a friend featuring the image she had done for her by
Mayzy, this is Corinne.
It’s actually
quite a good likeness of Corinne, with her big hair and big smile!
My card layout
comes from the current sketch at Hand Stamped Sentiments and my sentiment from
a retired Stampin’ Up! set called Perfect Words. I double matted everything in black and red
to echo the colours of Corinne’s top, she loves red and black.
Now it might seem
a bit odd to have snowflakes on a birthday card but when I saw they were the
theme at Addicted to Stamps and also the embellie shape on the sketch I just
had to go with them. After all, Corinne
loves the snow, loves her short shorts too.
Strange for an Aussie like me to contemplate wearing short shorts in
weather cold enough for snow but guess when you’re used to the cold you can
wear what you want.
I added in my
snowflakes with another retired Stampin’ Up! stamp called Serene Snowflakes as well as
a Tim Holtz Frozen Alpha Parts. For some
added sparkle, the current theme over at Crafty Friends, I did the snowflakes
in glitter and popped some rhinestones in the centre.
