I have another
Hallowe’en card to share today, this one features one of the new Tim Holtz
releases for the season, Witchcraft.
I used the sketch
over at Paper Craft Crew for my layout and turned the irregular shaped element
into a shaker for a bit of added interest.
I thought the ‘totally wicked’ owls from Graphic 45’s Steampunk Spells
made a good background for the witch die cut but broke this up with an alcohol
inked piece of Yupo behind the shaker.
I couldn’t help
but use my new pot of embossing glitter to add some bling to the die cuts. I used two parts of the die set with the cat
taking the place of the embellies in the sketch. I did add in a second embellie in the
cauldron to tie in with the sentiment. I
thought the thin strip elements worked well for some Clippings Stickers and
found four that fit with my witchy theme.
As my witch is
brewing up some potion in her cauldron I am entering my card in the current Make My Monday challenge as I am sure she’s getting set to put a spell on someone ~
hope it’s not me! Her familiar is
definitely looking like he means harm and the pair are rather spooky on the inky
night sky background so I am also linking up at Crafty Cardmakers.
