The last of my
three cards I’m sharing tonight features images from the Haunted House set by
Tim Holtz as well as backgrounds from his Skulls & Cobwebs set.
The layout of my
card follows the current sketch at Sketch Saturday. To create the four quadrants I stamped the
background stamps in matching ink to my cardstock and embossed with clear
embossing powder. This gives a lovely
tone on tone effect that also has texture and shine in real life. I then added in the circle with a
Spellbinders die and matted the scene I created in the circle on a second one
from plain black.
I finished off my card with chippie details of the Hallowe’en setiment and witch’s familiar.
Over at Paradise of Stamps they’re running a Hallowe’en challenge and I’ve created a fun Hallowe’en
scene in watercolours. Although now I
see that when I finished this card off late last night I was clearly tired as I
needed to rotate my scene just slightly so the tree wasn’t crooked! I’m also linking
my card up in the Hallowe’en challenge at Come and Get It.
