…but is also the parent of all the other virtues

I’ve got another quick CAS thank you made for another colleague, this time featuring one of Tim’s Mixed Media dies and a sentiment from the Just Because set by Birch Press Design.

The layout of this card comes from CAS(E) this Sketch where I’ve replaced the chevron like element with the die cut from Tim Holtz.  I used the partial die cut technique as the die was too big for the 6x4" card base I’ve used.

For my colour palette I’m playing along at Time Out using their Black, White & One Colour prompt.  Added my one colour through the stamped sentiment.  Ironically my Stampin’ Up! Stampin’ Pad in Real Red looks more like a dark pink in real life!

While I did add a splash of red to my card and I’ve got the black underlay, it is actually mostly white.  Which was very clever of me as I was hoping to play along at AAA Cards and I think I did pull of the colour palette while still keeping this mostly white.

  1. such a creative design and stunning results, lots of technique used to make a lovely CAS card x

  2. This is super classy and love that pop of red for the sentiment. Black and white always looks so stylish and love how you used the die across the middle of the card. Its so clean and modern, just love it and so happy you joined us at TIME OUT!

  3. I love the elegant look of black and white with a pop of red - it goes so well with the die cut element you chose. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Jill

  4. Wow! I love how you used the die with the partial die-cutting technique. It turned out beautifully! Thanks for playing along with us at AAA Cards!
