Sharing a quick CAS
thank you card I made for a colleague featuring one of the fabbie chippies from
Make it Crafty.
I took my layout
from the current sketch at Freshly Made Sketches, where I’m right down to the
wire to play along. Also cutting it fine
to link up at Color Throwdown where I’ve used their current palette for my
colour scheme. I used three of the
colours in the elements of my sketch, adding the black as a border and the
white as my base. Added the final colour
silver by embossing the chippie in a lovely silver powder.
I also wanted to
play along at the Sisterhood of Crafters so I die cut my two rectangular elements
using a stitched rectangle die. It’s hard
to see the stitching on the DP rectangle but it shows up nicely on the white
one, although not so much in the photo!
I always think it’s
lovely to send a thank you, especially a handmade one. Unfortunately, I don’t get enough time to add
these to my stash of cards (the non-existent stash!) so really glad among the
hustle and bustle of Christmas preparations I was able to get a couple of quick
CAS thank you cards done.
