Sharing a card
featuring the aptly named Ravishing stamp from Penny Black.
Over at AAA Cards
they are challenging you to make a card in minutes and you really can with
these watercolour stamps from Penny Black.
I inked it up with some Distress Inks, spritzed with water before stamping
and then moved the inks on the flower petals around a bit with a Wink of Stella
Glitter Clear pen. I used just a regular
paint brush to blend the inks on the leaves and stem.
Side note: Now those little
specs you see on the petals aren’t dust on my lens, they are the sparkle, really
and truly it is. Anyone know how to take
a photo that shows sparkle off I will happily take your tips ~ asked a friend
with a photographer hubby and even she can’t make it show!
Cut your mat pieces,
stamp on the sentiment in embossing ink, douse in embossing powder, melt to set
then tape it all together. Press on a
few enamel dots and voilà one very pretty and quick card. Am thinking I’ll make a few more in other
colours to knock over a few of the birthdays I have this month.
The reason I used
the glitter pen to blend the petal colours out was so I could play along in the
current tic-tac-toe challenge at The Paper Players.
My other two elements from the board are embossing, which really helped
the sentiment stand out without the need for time consuming die cutting or
fussy cutting of a sentiment strip to add to the card, and choice of enamel
dots for my embellies.
Over at the The Sisterhood of Crafters they are celebrating Spring. With my flower and pretty pinks this card
speaks Spring to me, even as we head into Autumn here in Australia.
