…a creature of such fairy-like loveliness…

Sharing a rather girlie card featuring the Braid in my Hair digi from A Day for Daisies, which is now sadly closed.

I’ve followed the current sketch over at Sketch Saturday for my layout.  I did turn the main rectangle into an oval mostly because it best suited the shape of my image and it was the die I had that fit too.  For the chevron element I’ve added a couple of die cut roses I snipped apart from a corner die by Noor! Design.  I ummed and ahhed about the sentiment and finally decided to add one per the sketch using one of the fab chippies from Make it Crafty.

The inspiration photo half of the current Fusion challenge was my inspiration for the colours and decorative elements to my card.  The designer paper is meant to echo the wall in the image and I’ve gone with roses in pink to match the floral element in the picture.  I love how the image came out; I think I’m finally cracking this water colouring thing!

I made this a very feminine feeling card so I can play along at Allsorts for their current challenge.  Hopefully it also hits the mark with my niece who is turning sweet 16 shortly.
