Had to make a
thank you and farewell combination card for a male colleague so I went with a
CAS design featuring a Tim Holtz Mixed Media die and a chippie from Make It Crafty.
Went with the die
cut design to fit the current challenge at Crafting with Dragonflies. I’ve used this same design for a sympathy
card too; it’s cased from a card I saw at a craft show demo. A great way to use the mixed media dies and
really effective yet elegantly CAS and perfect for male cards.
Over at Just Us Girls they are looking for ink blending so that’s what I did for the background
to my die cut. I used several shades of
blue Distress Inks and then spritzed with water for a lovely almost ombre
effect. I used the same colours blended
together over the chippie ‘thanks’, which I teamed with a printed sentiment.
As this card is
CAS, blue and actually going out to a male I am also entering it in the current
male challenge at Crafty Friends.
